Welcome to the Comsmopolitan Reactionary. I don't know how you got here, but thanks for stopping by.
Who am I? I can't say, and it doesn't really matter. Hopefully it's the quality of my commentary that counts, not what standing I have to say so. If I understand the blogosphere correctly, it's the insight that matters.
I am way, way late to the blogging game, but better late than never, right?
As the title of my blog is supposed to imply, I am a conservative and I live in a major metropolis. Needless to say, my politics are not quite the same as my neighbors or co-workers. However, the title may be slightly misleading, because I'm not the type to launch into unhinged rants. I think being a little red dot in a field of blue has taught me to get along... mostly.
Truth is, I can't be any other way. I don't know if I'd be happy way out in thecountryside exurbs, either. Consider:
And I am a conservative, but that doesn't mean I won't criticize politicians or fellow bloggers on the right when deserve it. Hiding behind this pseudonym, I don't necessarily have to be intellectually honest, but I actually think it's more fun this way. The bloggers I respect most are the ones who are willing to face down their own side.
I work long hours and am often busy, so posting may be irregular at times. But if I can be a small part of this great online debate, it will all be worth it.
